Cherry Blossoms

We've all had those days completely jammed packed with obligations, and naturally they all call for different attire.  Sometimes it can be stressful, because there isn't enough time to change your outfit, nor do you want to lug around another outfit.  This post is to bring inspiration and hope to times like those.  It can be easy, and in this particular look I only used two pieces to take it from daytime bohemian chic to a whimsical night look.

As I've said in previous posts, I'm an avid lover of hats.  They add so much dimension, hide bad hair days, and they can also completely transform a look.  In this instance, I used it for my daytime look and omitted it for evening.  For both looks I kept the same base from head to toe, and all jewelry remained the same.  Apart from the fedora, the only other thing I changed was swapping my cream sweater for a faux fur bolero.  I wanted to keep a bohemian vibe for both looks, which is why I didn't change the jewelry at all.  Layered jewelry (especially this tasseled necklace) scream bohemian.  For my shoes, I kept them the same because they are completely covered by my skirt and because maxi skirts look so much better when they skim the floor.  Not only is your look more cohesive, but it also elongates your body. (Don't be scared of Maxi's if you're short! When done right, they can make you look taller! :))  If you are wearing anything other than a maxi skirt/dress-another easy way to transform a look is by adding heels.  Hats, heels and jackets are the top 3 ways to take something from day to night.  If you have more than a couple of minutes, then I would also suggest switching up your lip color and maybe your hair.  You might be surprised how much a side braid  or top-knot can change your look.  If I had worn a red lip, and messy ballerina bun for the night it would have been another step to a more formal look.  I hope you have found some of these tips helpful and all links to items or very similar ones are posted below.
